Guthrie TheaterExtra in the production, The PretendersWhile in the 9th grade, I was accepted into a special program at the Guthrie Theater that allows younger actors to perform in one of their plays, and at the same time learn more about the craft. I happened to have had the great F. Murray Abraham as an instructor, and oh-what fun we had. I learned so much from him, as we all did. This is also the time when I met Eve Johnson, wife of Tom Johnson, then Hennepin County Attorney. We got along so well, she invited me to meet her husband, who, at the time, was running for reelection. It was that very summer I decided I loved being involved in the political process, as his campaign was the first I got involved in. |
